I have read the entire history of this piece of land...and that is all that it is, a piece of land. Many tribes and many nations have fought over it and held it. Currently, it is held by a Jewish state. Why should the ownership of this piece of land be of such concern to anyone else on the planet? Is there some resource I don't know about? Some geopolitical advantage to the port or river access? As far as I can tell, it is all about religion. And I am non religious. I think that any party should always refrain from heinous acts, but heinous acts are committed everywhere by many parties. All of the emotion and vitriol in this area seem to be religion based, and so I tend to shy away from taking one side or the other because I think that is a foolish reason to become emotionally invested in something.
