The expectation of 1000 to 1500 sq ft of indoor air conditioned living space, a car, and a privately owned fenced outdoor area per person is also part of the problem. That is not realistic as a sustainable lifestyle for the 8+ billion people on the planet. It can only be sustained by a portion of that population through imperialism and state sanctioned violence.
